THE WALL

‘The Wall’ vraagt om grootse behandeling.

The show from July 21 was broadcast live throughout Europe. Those who have only seen the officially released version may be surprised with the differences to the TV broadcast. Since it was beamed out live, there was no room for error, but luck was not to be on their side with power failures during The Thin Ice and Mother. Re-recorded versions after the crowd went home, as well as some footage from the dress rehearsal was used in the official release to cover for the problems. Other features of the TV broadcast include additional filmed footage during Mother, Don't Leave Me Now and Nobody Home which was not included in the official release, and some very poor singing and lack of synchronisation which was rectified later with the aid of remixing. Some broadcasts, such as the Italian one, also include a great introduction featuring the history of the Berlin Wall. Beware of copies from places such as the UK which missed parts of the show due to the demands of advertisements
